Frequently Asked Questions

Below are some of the most frequently asked questions about Twitch raid trains and how R3dLabs can help you plan and execute your next raid train event.

General Questions

What is a Twitch Raid?

A Twitch raid occurs when one streamer ends their broadcast by redirecting their viewers to another streamer’s channel. This process helps keep viewers engaged, introduces them to new streamers, and fosters a sense of camaraderie within the Twitch community.
A raid train takes the concept of a Twitch raid to the next level. It’s a coordinated series of raids involving multiple streamers. Each streamer raids the next in line after their stream ends, creating a “train” that carries viewers through a curated sequence of streams. Raid trains are especially popular for events like charity fundraisers, themed gaming nights, or community celebrations.
Executing a twitch raid is simple - when you're done with your stream and ready to raid out, just type: /raid CHANNEL_NAME in the chat of your stream. Once you do that, a timer will start counting down and your viewers will be sent to the target once it's complete.

R3dLabs also provides a few tools to make this process easier and fun - be sure to checkout FirePanel and our Elgato Steam Deck Plugin, R3dLabs Toolbox.
